Hi, I'm Ana-Alicia Horn and I'm running for school board.

As a mom to three MISD students, I’m fully invested and highly committed to the future of our district. My goal is to help champion high-quality education in our community by prioritizing students, supporting teachers, building trust, and advocating for fully funded public schools. I believe that, together, we can create a brighter future for generations to come. Together. Forward.

My husband and I moved to Mansfield in 2010. Over the next few years, our lives changed dramatically as we welcomed three amazing girls, one wild Aussie-Doodle, and I received my MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington.

In 2018, after serving in youth ministry and church operations for a decade, I became Program Director for a local women's shelter and eventually accepted a role on their Board of Directors.

For the last 3 years, I’ve worked on the executive team of a DFW-based event ticketing company. I also currently serve on the MISD School Health Advisory Council.

It’s safe to say that Mansfield ISD is the long-term home to our family and we can’t wait to watch each of our daughters walk the graduation stage as proud Lake Ridge Eagles.

Prioritizing all MISD students ensures they have the resources and opportunities to thrive —academically, socially, and emotionally — creating a stronger future for our entire community. I will fight for full funding and against divisive agendas so every child succeeds.

Listening to teachers and trusting their expertise is key to empowering them and building a thriving district. This means providing the compensation, respect, and safe working environments they need to help our students excel.

Involved parents create better student outcomes and stronger schools. By providing transparent data and listening to families, we build trust and increase engagement— because our parents make our district shine.
